AURICLE CONTROL SYSTEMS (ACS) - We came into existence in late 1983 when Composer Ron Grant and Systems Designer Richard Grant undertook to fashion, execute and distribute perhaps the first professionally accepted film industry Personal Computer software application entitled "AURICLE: The Film Composer's Time Processor"© aka "The AURICLE".
...the most highly honored application in the history of personal computing (EMMY 1985, Academy Award for Scientific Achievement 1987), The AURICLE clearly set the pace and continues to lead the march in establishing professional standards for the crafting and performance of underscore in the entertainment industry. Designed for the film, television and multimedia composer, AURICLE is an interactive aid in the development and performance of music for motion pictures and video. Used by most of the top working composers and music editors worldwide, AURICLE provides total control over the metric and temporal characteristics of feature film music. Not just a mere "hit finder", The AURICLE is first and foremost a "hit maker", allowing composers to creatively place, "synthetically" or orchestrally, any note or phrase anywhere in relation to any filmic or video medium without sacrificing the quality of the music for the sake of synchrony..

like a monkey wrench, is designed to adjust to a multiplicity
